You guys watching the new Sherlock series from the BBC and WGBH (I’m looking at you, Mr. Bates)? I’m a total sucker for contemporary updates to classic stories, and this new series does not disappoint. Sherlock Holmes fans will recognize the story for the first episode, A Study in Pink, as Holmes first novel, A Study in Scarlet, except there are more cellphones and MobileMe involved (Okay, so it’s a “MePhone,” but come on, watch the episode and tell me they’re not using Find My Phone).
Should you find a way to watch this show? Yes. Of course. Also, Arthur Dent’s in it, so it has that going for it, too.
